Northcote

Northcote greenway is a large development consisting of multiple parks and walkways. We were asked to photograph a few specific areas of the project including Cadness Reserve, Te Ara Awataha Greenway and Greenslade Reserve. We were tasked with shooting the concrete walkway, wooden platforms, basketball court and the amazing rugby field which doubles as storm water detention pond in large rain events.

We used drone and ground photography to showcase the project. When using the drone to show the scale of a project we always like to include a familiar object or landmark where possible. For the rugby field we found a sweet spot for the drone shot that showcased the whole field as well as featuring the Sky Tower in the distance which adds a nice dimension to the image.

There was an immense amount of construction going on and the surrounding area was full with cones, orange fences, workers, cranes, diggers and mud. It was a fun challenge creating shooting angels that avoided most of the ‘noise’ in the background. For areas that it was unavoidable we utalized our image editing skills.
